Terra Nova: The Antarctica Suite

Danger Mouse may have brought the mash-up to the masses, but performance artist Paul Miller (aka DJ Spooky) took it to the ends of the earth. As part of Dialog: City, Denver’s Democratic National Convention-inspired art series, Miller presents Terra Nova: The Antarctica Suite — a multimedia performance that combines visual images of Antarctica with audio field recordings of the actual sounds of receding ice. Not quite as catchy as “Crazy,” but we love that it’s one of many creative projects (including a green symposium) engaging convention-goers and tourists in civic conversation through art.

Sunday, 7 p.m., Ellie Caulkins Opera House, 695 S. Colorado Boulevard, Denver. For more information about Dialog: City, go to dialogcity.org.
