Intelligent Nutrients Cosmetics
Navigating the waters of cosmetic safety research can be tricky, but we figure it’s tough to argue with every toddler’s rule of thumb: If you can eat it, it’s probably okay. Which is why we’re mildly obsessed with Aveda founder Horst Rechelbacher’s newest venture — certified organic, food-grade Intelligent Nutrients hair and skincare products. An early example of the latest beauty trend, the line only uses ingredients your body recognizes as food (like certified organic sunflower seed oil and apple juice). The baby food-like consistency takes a little getting used to — but after a few days of using the shampoos and styling creams, we're reluctant to go back to products that aren't good enough to eat.
Products hit shelves in early September. Available for pre-order online at intelligentnutrients.com.
